Job summary

London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to enhance the availability and performance of critical shared services. You will own reliability across systems, write automation, and collaborate with development teams to improve release velocity.

The role emphasizes on-call readiness, postmortems, and best practices, with cloud migration enablers and a focus on scalable, observable, and resilient services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Prior application support experience with a focus on site reliability engineering.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Shell, Python, or similar.
• Experience in maintaining Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Hands on Experience with one of the cloud platforms: Azure/AWS.
• Knowledge on Docker and Kubernetes.
• Observability tools like Datadog, Dynatrace or similar.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Incident response and running blameless post-mortems.
• Proficient in Git workflows.

Responsibilities

• Maintain SLOs and improve availability, latency, and health.
• Write automation to scale systems and recover quickly when issues occur.
• Partner with development teams to improve reliability and release velocity.
• Participate in on-call rotations, incident postmortems, and root cause analysis and resolution.
• Enabler for cloud migration with architectural reviews and operational testing.
• Be a vocal advocate of strong engineering practices for scalable, reliable services.
• Participate in continuous learning and development.
