Job summary

London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) is seeking a Senior SRE to help strengthen reliability, observability, security, and operational excellence across our Markets and Risk Intelligence division.

As a Senior SRE, you will be a senior hands-on technical person help shape the foundations of reliability across both new and existing platforms. You will collaborate with Architecture, Engineering, Security, and Platform teams to ensure reliability is built into systems from day one.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on SRE/Platform Engineering experience.
• Strong experience with Azure services (AKS, Entra ID, VNet, VMs).
• Kubernetes and containerized platforms experience.
• Experience designing/operating observability platforms (monitoring/logging/alerts).
• Experience with Datadog for metrics/logs/APM/alerts.
• Understanding of SRE principles (SLOs, error budgets, incident management).
• Knowledge of cloud security and cost optimization.

Responsibilities

• Lead SRE foundations for new projects: environments, monitoring, alerting, readiness.
• Define and champion observability standards, tooling, and guidelines (metrics/logs/traces, SLOs).
• Design and evolve monitoring/alerting solutions to improve visibility and reduce toil.
• Drive reliability improvements across environments (incident reduction, performance tuning).
• Collaborate with Security to meet compliance and risk management expectations.
• Lead handovers from project delivery into BAU SRE operations with documentation and readiness.
• Mentor engineers, shape engineering standards, and foster a learning culture.
