Job summary

FreedomPay is seeking an experienced operations engineer to maintain live services, monitor system health, and participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation. You will collaborate with infrastructure and development teams to improve reliability and respond to issues across a complex fintech platform.

The role requires strong knowledge of transaction processing, monitoring tools, and SQL Server, with opportunities to grow in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in a similar fintech/transaction processing role preferred.
• Strong understanding of transaction processing, payment gateways, and real-time processing.
• Experience with application performance monitoring and log ingestion tools (e.g., Dynatrace, Splunk, SolarWinds).

Responsibilities

• Maintain live services by monitoring availability, latency, and health.
• Support 24/7 platform availability through on-call rotations.
• Identify root causes and guide remediation of service degradations.
• Communicate effectively with third parties, partners, and internal teams.
