Job summary

RBC Wealth Management Technology is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join the SRE team, focusing on reliability, automation, and AI-enabled operations. The role emphasizes building intelligent monitoring, ML-based anomaly detection, and end-to-end automation across Kubernetes/OpenShift environments.

You will work with Elasticsearch, Dynatrace, Kafka, and other modern tooling to standardize telemetry, improve incident response, and drive self-healing strategies while collaborating

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or similar roles.

Responsibilities

• Build and enhance intelligent monitoring, alerting, reliability testing, anomaly detection, and automated remediation.
• Implement modern observability practices across supported applications with metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and alerting.
• Design ML-based anomaly detection and self-healing solutions with automated remediation and governance.
• Standardize telemetry and instrumentation for better visibility and correlation across platforms.
• Automate platform tasks using Ansible, GitHub Actions, and scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell).
• Define and track service health metrics including SLIs and SLOs, and evolve runbooks into automated patterns.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure reliability and performance pre- and post-deployment.
• Lead incident and problem management, drive root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Identify opportunities to simplify and automate operations using engineering and AI-driven approaches.
