Job summary

CrowdStrike's internal SRE team owns automation, reliability, and observability of the internal developer platform used by thousands of engineers to build and deploy software at scale.

We seek a senior engineer with 10+ years in large-scale SRE, strong CI/CD, Kubernetes, and AI-assisted workflows, plus a security-first mindset. This remote role supports a distributed team across time zones and emphasizes proactive reliability improvements.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible for CJIS clearance (US citizenship or Green Card)
• 10+ years in large-scale production SRE or infrastructure
• 3+ years applying AI-assisted workflows to improve engineering efficiency
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
• Experience deploying CI/CD tools: Bazel, Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions
• Experience with Kubernetes and data infra: Cassandra, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, OpenSearch, Kafka, Redis
• Scripting in Python, Go, Bash, or PowerShell
• Security-first mindset with strong cybersecurity principles
• Ability to work with a distributed team across time zones

Responsibilities

• Own availability and health of key services within the CICD environment
• Build software to manage platform infrastructure and automate deployments
• Carry on-call responsibility and lead incident response with blameless postmortems
• Analyze metrics for performance tuning and root-cause analysis
• Lead design reviews, readiness reviews, and capacity planning
• Evaluate AI-assisted workflows and help teams adopt them
• Mentor mid-level and junior engineers through code reviews
• Investigate new technologies and propose roadmap-aligned choices
• Create automated reporting on service health and compliance
• Provide guidance on projects outside core area to raise engineering standards
• Partner with senior engineers to drive cross-team reliability improvements
• Contribute to Embedded SRE model and strengthen cross-team partnerships
