Job summary

Conduent is seeking an experienced Database Administrator to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable database environments. You will work with application, infrastructure, security, reporting, and development teams to support ongoing operations and modernization efforts.

You will monitor and optimize databases, troubleshoot issues, support deployments and data migrations, and help ensure systems remain secure and performant across environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science/IT.
• Minimum five years of database administration or support experience.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server administration across development, test, UAT, and production.
• Experience with high availability, disaster recovery, backup/restore, and security.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain database platforms in standalone or high-availability environments.
• Create and support tables, views, indexes, stored procedures, and database objects.
• Monitor health, performance, storage growth, queries, blocking, and deadlocks.
• Perform backups, restores, and disaster recovery testing.
• Support security, access control, auditing, and compliance.
• Tune queries, indexes, and execution plans for performance.
• Assist with data migrations, deployments, and environment validation.
• Documentation of changes, runbooks, and data flows.
