Job summary

Conduent is seeking a Database Administrator to manage Oracle, SQL Server and other platforms, ensuring high availability, performance and security for enterprise data systems. You will support development teams and production operations while implementing best practices for data integrity.

The role demands 5+ years as a DBA with strong SQL/PL-SQL/T-SQL skills, experience with monitoring tools and cloud databases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a DBA with Oracle and SQL Server.
• Strong knowledge of relational database design, normalization, and indexing.
• Proficiency in SQL scripting, PL/SQL, and T-SQL.
• Experience with database monitoring tools such as OEM and SQL Profiler.
• Familiarity with cloud database services (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Oracle Cloud).
• Exposure to NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra).

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Oracle, SQL Server and other platforms.
• Implement security policies, access controls, and encryption.
• Design backup and recovery strategies and test disaster recovery planning.
• Analyze query performance, optimize SQL code, and configure indexing/partitioning.
• Collaborate with developers to design efficient schemas and provide production support.
