The role requires migration experience from SQL Server 2012 to 2016 and strong virtualization skills with VMware/Hyper-V.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience directly related to SQL Server DBA.
• Ability to handle multiple assignments concurrently.
• Experience with VMware and Microsoft Hyper-V virtualization.
• Experience with source control, bug tracking, SDLC, and relational databases.
• Ability to handle confidential materials and work both in groups and alone.

Responsibilities

• Administer Microsoft SQL Server including Replication, Backup/Restore, Scheduling and SSRS/SSAS/SSIS.
• Migrate databases from SQL Server 2012 to 2016.
• Provide systems administration support for hardware and software installations and configurations.
• Recommend and implement SQL performance monitoring and tuning solutions.
• Support virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V (VM creation and configuration).
• Perform daily backups and weekly full backups per policy; monitor space and maintenance tasks.
