CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to oversee all aspects of Microsoft SQL Server administration in a government contracting environment. The role emphasizes replication, backups, performance tuning, and SSIS/SSRS/SSAS services, with VMware and Hyper-V virtualization support.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of SQL Server DBA experience, strong collaboration skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced federal-ready

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years relevant experience directly in SQL Server Database Administration.
• Ability to handle multiple assignments concurrently.
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware and Microsoft Hyper-V.
• Experience with source/change control, bug tracking, SDLC, and relational databases integration.

Responsibilities

• Administer Microsoft SQL Server including replication, backups, capacity planning, reporting services, analysis services, and integration services.
• Migrate databases from SQL Server 2012 to 2016.
• Provide systems administration support for new hardware and software.
• Recommend and implement SQL performance monitoring and tuning solutions.
• Support visualization technologies and create/configure virtual machines.
