Contact Government Services (CGS) seeks a Senior Database Administrator to manage all aspects of Microsoft SQL Server in a government‑focused environment in Chantilly, VA. Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience directly with SQL Server DBA.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently.
• Experience with VMware and Hyper-V visualization technologies.
• Experience with source/change control and SDLC for DBs.
• Ability to handle confidential materials.
• Team and individual work capability.
• Ability to document and present decisions and processes.

Responsibilities

• Administer SQL Server including replication, backups, capacity planning, SSRS/SSAS/SSIS.
• Migrate databases from SQL Server 2012 to 2016.
• Provide systems administration support including planning, testing, installations, and configurations of hardware/software.
• Recommend and implement SQL performance monitoring and tuning.
• Implement and support Microsoft technologies such as VB.NET, ASP.NET, and Web Services.
• Support VMware and Hyper-V virtualization, creating and configuring VMs.
• Back up web, application, and database servers per MPA policies with daily increments and weekly full backups.
• Monitor database activity, space management, and provide extended support when required.
