Contact Government Services in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to oversee all aspects of Microsoft SQL Server, including replication, backup/restore, and performance tuning.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of SQL Server experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently or in a team. This full-time role offers opportunities to work with cloud and virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years relevant experience related directly to SQL Server Database Administration.
• Experience with replication, backup/restore, and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V.
• Experience with source/control, bug tracking, SDLC, and relational databases.
• Ability to handle confidential materials and work both independently and in groups.

Responsibilities

• Administer SQL Server including Replication, Backup/Restore, capacity planning, SSRS, SSAS, and SSIS.
• Migrate databases between SQL Server versions (e.g., 2012 to 2016).
• Provide systems administration support for hardware and software installations and configurations.
• Implement, deploy, and support Microsoft technologies and web services.
• Monitor and tune SQL performance and respond to incidents with extended support as needed.
