Job summary

Contact Government Services, LLC is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to manage all aspects of Microsoft SQL Server, including replication, backups, and performance tuning. The role requires hands-on experience with SQL Server 2012–2016 migrations and solid systems administration across hardware and software updates.

You will work within the Information Technology department to ensure secure, reliable data services, support Visual Studio/.NET technologies, and oversee VMware or Hyper-V

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years relevant SQL Server DBA experience.
• Experience with Replication, Backup/Restore, and capacity planning.
• Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services, Analysis Services, and Integration Services.
• Migration experience from SQL Server 2012 to 2016.
• Ability to document, explain, and present tasks and decisions.

Responsibilities

• Administer Microsoft SQL Server including replication, backup/restore, capacity planning, and SSRS/SSAS/SSIS."
• Migrate databases from SQL Server 2012 to 2016.
• Provide systems administration support including planning, testing, installations, and configurations.
• Recommend and implement SQL performance monitoring and tuning solutions.
• Implement and support Microsoft technologies such as Visual Studio, VB.NET, ASP.NET and Web Services.
• Support virtualization tech like VMware and Hyper-V, including VM creation and configuration.
• Back up web, application, and database servers per policies (daily incremental, weekly full).
• Monitor, space-manage, and support database systems, with extended hours when required.
