Job summary

Lead Forensics is seeking a Senior SQL Server DBA to own end‑to‑end management of our MS SQL Server estate and evolving cloud databases, including SingleStore. You will oversee production operations, performance, security, automation, and lifecycle management for transactional and analytical workloads.

You will collaborate with engineering, architecture, infrastructure, and security teams to modernize delivery with cloud and DevOps practices, while participating in on‑call rotations and on‑site

Qualifications

• 8+ years of production database administration experience.
• Expertise with Microsoft SQL Server installations, upgrades, backups, recovery and security.
• Experience supporting high‑volume OLTP SaaS environments.
• Knowledge of HA/DR options such as Always On, clustering, replication, log shipping and tested restores.
• Experience with Azure or AWS managed databases and cloud migrations.

Responsibilities

• Administer production and non‑production SQL Server instances and cloud DB services (incl. SingleStore).
• Ensure high availability, performance, scalability, and security for SaaS workloads.
• Proactive monitoring, capacity planning, and health reporting; address risks before impact to customers.
• Diagnose and resolve complex issues (queries, blocking, deadlocks, replication).
• Tune queries, indexes, execution plans, and configurations with developers for better data access.
• Design, manage, and test backup, HA, and disaster‑recovery processes.
