Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a senior Database Administrator to optimize SQL Server across on‑premises, Azure, and AWS. You will design and support high availability and disaster recovery solutions, perform migrations, and lead incident response.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 5 years in a total IT environment.
Minimum 10 years in design, development and support of technology infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Administer, maintain, and optimize SQL Server databases across on‑premises, Azure, and AWS.
Design, implement, and support HA and DR solutions including Always On, Failover Clustering, Replication, and Log Shipping.
Perform installations, configurations, patching, upgrades, migrations, and lifecycle management.
Monitor health, availability, capacity, and performance; proactively resolve issues.
Lead production incident response; conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Collaborate with development, DevOps, security teams on deployments and modernization.
Manage backup, recovery, business continuity, and disaster recovery strategies.
Drive automation, governance, security compliance; mentor engineers and promote best practices.
