Job summary

Centene Corporation is seeking a qualified software engineer to design, develop, and implement complex enterprise solutions in a healthcare data environment. You will collaborate with data modelers, architects, analysts, data stewards, and SMEs to deliver end-to-end design, development, testing, and support.

Responsibilities include building T-SQL objects, maintaining the in-house letter application, developing SSIS packages, and using ActiveBatch for job scheduling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 4–6 years related experience required
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server development (T-SQL, stored procedures, performance tuning) preferred
• Experience with healthcare/managed care data preferred

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement complex enterprise software solutions across the data domain
• Create, optimize, and re-engineer T-SQL procedures, views, and tables for data staging and transformation
• Own and enhance the in-house letter application (Word docs from C#, PDF via third-party component in SSIS)
• Develop and support SSIS packages for ETL, file processing, and document conversion workflows
• Schedule, monitor, and troubleshoot jobs using ActiveBatch
• Provide production support, analyze data issues, and document technical designs and data flows
• Contribute to data marts, EDW feeds, and report development

Education

Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science)
