Centene Corporation is seeking a skilled data engineer focusing on SQL Server development, C#, and SSIS to design, build, and maintain enterprise data solutions. You will work on ETL processes, data transformations, and the in‑house letter generation system, ensuring reliability and performance across healthcare data platforms.

The role involves collaborating with data modelers, architects, and business analysts to deliver robust data solutions and support EDW feeds, EDI processes, and reporting

Qualifications

• Requires 4–6 years of Microsoft SQL Server development (T-SQL, stored procedures, query optimization, index creation, performance tuning).
• Requires 3+ years of C# development.
• Requires 3+ years of SSIS development.
• Experience with EDI preferred.
• Experience with Healthcare/Managed Care Data is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement enterprise software solutions across the data platform.
• Create, optimize, and maintain SQL Server objects (stored procedures, views, functions, tables).
• Own and enhance the in‑house letter application using C# to produce Word documents and PDF conversion in SSIS.
• Develop and support SSIS packages for ETL, file processing, and document conversion workflows.
• Schedule, monitor, and troubleshoot jobs with ActiveBatch.
