Job summary

Greenberg Traurig, LLP is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to architect, administer and optimize enterprise SQL Server databases, ensuring security, reliability and scalability across offices. The role supports business operations and collaborates with IT teams to provide data access and protection.

Based in a remote-capable role, you will monitor performance, implement DR and backup processes, and develop custom queries, SSRS subscriptions and migration scripts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 8–10 years’ experience with enterprise MS SQL Server databases.
• Experience configuring SQL Server on-prem and in cloud environments.
• Experience in designing standards, capacity planning, DR and documentation for SQL Server.
• Experience developing complex queries, SSIS packages and SSRS reports.

Responsibilities

• Maintains enterprise SQL database operations including server updates and patches.
• Ensures database security and compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, and other standards.
• Reviews architecture and optimizes database systems.
• Architects and implements new database systems.
• Monitors performance and performs database tuning.
• Plans DR and backup testing and implementation.
• Creates migration scripts and data-driven SSRS subscriptions.
