Job summary

Greenberg Traurig, LLP is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to architect, administer, and optimize enterprise SQL Server databases across multiple offices. This role can be based in various offices or remotely, reporting to the Director of Network Systems.

The ideal candidate has 8–10 years of MS SQL Server experience, strong security knowledge, and expertise in tuning and automation using PowerShell. Collaboration across IT and application teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• 8–10 years of enterprise MS SQL Server design, development, administration, and maintenance experience.
• Experience configuring, operating, and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server (on-prem & cloud).
• Experience developing complex queries, SSIS packages, and SSRS reports.

Responsibilities

• Maintain enterprise SQL database operations, apply server updates/patches.
• Ensure database security and compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, and standards.
• Review and optimize database architecture and systems.
• Architect and implement new database systems.
• Monitor performance and tune databases for optimal results.
• Troubleshoot database servers and related systems.
• Support audits and provide required documentation.
• Plan DR and backup testing/implementation for continuity.
• Create custom queries, SSRS subscriptions, and migration scripts.
