Job summary

Greenberg Traurig, a global law firm, seeks a Senior Database Administrator to architect, administer and optimize enterprise SQL Server databases, ensuring security, reliability, and scalability. You will collaborate with application owners and IT teams to support operations and provide data access guidance.

The role supports flexible office locations or remote work, reporting to the Director of Network Systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 8–10 years' experience in design, development, administration, and maintenance of enterprise MS SQL Server databases.
• Experience configuring, operating and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server, on‑prem and cloud environments.
• Experience in database design, standards, capacity planning, disaster recovery, accessibility, scalability and documentation for SQL Server.
• Development of complex queries, SSIS packages and SSRS reports.

Responsibilities

• Maintains enterprise SQL database operations including updates and patches.
• Maintains database security and compliance with company, industry and government standards (GDPR, HIPAA).
• Reviews architecture and optimizes all enterprise database systems.
• Architects and implements new database systems.
• Monitors database performance and performs tuning for optimal performance.
• Troubleshoots enterprise database servers and related systems.
• Plans testing and implementation of DR and backup processes to ensure continuous operation.
• Creates custom queries, data-driven SSRS subscriptions, migration scripts, and executes other tasks.
