Job summary

Quadax, a leader in healthcare revenue cycle technology, seeks a SQL Database Administrator 2 to manage and optimize SQL Server platforms across on‑prem and Azure environments. You will partner with ITO, App Dev, DevOps, and Security to ensure high availability, security, and scalable data services for mission‑critical systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience preferred.
• 5-7+ years of Microsoft SQL Server administration experience in enterprise environments.
• Experience with highly available SQL Server environments and Azure SQL.
• Experience with PowerShell scripting and administrative automation.

Responsibilities

• Administer enterprise Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL environments, including patching and lifecycle management.
• Design and support HA/DR solutions (Failover Clustering, replication, backups).
• Enforce standards, procedures, and governance for SQL Server environments.
• Evaluate new SQL Server technologies and propose adoption plans.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Security, and Applications teams in modernization efforts.
• Develop automation and runbooks to improve operational efficiency.
• Provide after-hours support and lead major database incident responses.
