Job summary

Quadax, Inc. is seeking a SQL Database Administrator 2 to steward our Microsoft SQL Server platforms, including Azure SQL, across production, staging, and development environments.

You will own design, security, performance, availability, and recoverability of mission-critical databases for healthcare revenue cycle applications, working with DevOps, security, and business stakeholders. You will lead HA/DR implementations, automation initiatives, and governance, providing strategic guidance,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or equivalent.
• 5–7+ years of Microsoft SQL Server administration experience in enterprise environments.
• Experience with Azure SQL Database and hybrid cloud configurations.
• Strong knowledge of backup/recovery, security, and performance tuning.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer, patch, upgrade, and manage enterprise SQL Server and Azure SQL environments.
• Design and implement HA/DR solutions and failover architectures.
• Enforce standards, governance, and security controls for databases.
• Collaborate with App/Dev teams on schema, indexing, and query optimization.
• Develop automation via PowerShell and other scripting tools.
• Provide after-hours support and lead major outages when required.
