Job summary

Iron Mountain is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to design, tune, and maintain SQL Server environments across our Windows-based infrastructure. You will ensure high availability, optimize performance, and support data operations for business applications.

The role requires 5–7 years of SQL Server experience, strong T-SQL skills, and experience with Always On, clustering, and SSIS/SSRS. Collaboration with development teams and adherence to security standards are essential.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of SQL Server experience.
• Strong T-SQL and server-side development.
• Experience with Always On, clustering, and DR.
• Microsoft-based environment on Windows Server.
• Proficient in PowerShell scripting.
• Excellent communication skills with stakeholders.
• U.S. citizenship and background verifications required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee SQL Server design, installation, upgrades, capacity planning, and daily maintenance.
• Ensure performance and availability: monitor, tune, Always On and clustering.
• Manage backup and disaster recovery: Rubrik-based procedures.
• Support development with stored procedures, triggers, SSIS/SSRS.
• Maintain security and health: environment refreshes, documentation, automation, on-call.
