Job summary

Iron Mountain is seeking an analytical Senior Database Administrator to join our IT team. You will design, tune, and maintain core SQL Server environments to ensure high availability and secure data management across our systems.

Working primarily in a Microsoft-centric shop, you will collaborate with developers on data extraction facilities, implement SSIS/SSRS, and support on-call rotations to safeguard assets and enable our digital solutions for clients and teams.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of SQL Server design, administration, and support.
• Strong knowledge of T-SQL, Always On, clustering, disaster recovery, and SSIS/SSRS implementations.
• Experience in a Microsoft-centric Windows Server environment.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field desirable.
• Excellent communication skills with diverse stakeholders.
• Must meet background compliance: U.S. Citizenship and residency/time eligibility and related verifications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design, installation, upgrade, capacity planning, and daily maintenance of SQL Server environments in Windows Server.
• Ensure performance and availability through monitoring, tuning, and T-SQL optimization; manage Always On and clustering.
• Manage backup and disaster recovery procedures; utilize Rubrik backup systems and recovery processes.
• Collaborate with developers to build stored procedures, triggers, and data extract facilities (SSIS/SSRS).
• Maintain security and health: document the environment, use PowerShell for automation, and participate in a 24/7 on-call schedule.
