Job summary

Ooma in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure the quality and performance of our cloud-based platform. You will define test strategies, develop plans, build lab environments, track defects, and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver reliable solutions.

The role requires 8+ years in QA, including 5+ years testing VoIP and networking, plus experience with automated tests and AI-assisted testing tools.

Qualifications

8+ years of professional experience testing VoIP, networking, and application-based solutions.
Experience developing and executing automated tests.
Familiarity with legacy POTS environment including Modems, Alarm systems, life safety equipment.
Familiarity with Basic Networking and LTE protocols is desirable.
Experience working in Linux environments; basic Linux administration skills are a plus.
Experience testing Desktop and Mobile Apps-based UI SW is desirable.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases to validate functionality and performance.
Define test strategies and provide clear project status, risk assessments, and schedule updates to management.
Build, configure, and maintain lab environments to validate product configurations.
Collaborate with various teams within Ooma to improve test coverage and efficiency.
Leverage test automation and AI-assisted testing tools to enhance quality and productivity.
Identify, document, track, and drive resolution of defects throughout the development lifecycle.
Prepare test reports and communicate quality results to project stakeholders.
Ensure QA processes align with project timelines.
