Placements24 is seeking a highly organized Event Logistics Coordinator specializing in sports events for Upington, Northern Cape. You will manage venue setup, vendor coordination, participant flow, transportation, and on-site supervision to deliver seamless competitions for athletes, staff and spectators.

The role requires excellent planning, problem-solving, and the ability to adapt to changing schedules, with evenings and weekends as needed.

Formación

• Proven experience in logistics coordination or event management with a focus on sports events.
• Strong understanding of event planning principles and operational logistics.
• Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in using event management software and standard office tools.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate all logistical requirements for sports events, including venue booking, setup, and teardown.
• Manage event schedules, timings, and flow to ensure smooth operations.
• Oversee the procurement and management of event supplies, equipment, and necessary resources.
• Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and service providers to ensure timely delivery and quality of services.
• Develop and manage contingency plans to address potential logistical issues or emergencies.
• Coordinate transportation and accommodation arrangements for staff, officials, and participants as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and venue policies.
• Assist with the management of registration processes and participant information.
• Supervise on-site logistics teams and volunteers during events.
• Conduct post-event assessments focusing on logistical efficiency and areas for improvement.
