Placements24 is seeking a proactive Venue Operations Coordinator to support major sporting events in Upington, Northern Cape. You will coordinate venue operations from setup to breakdown, work with venue staff, security, catering, and other stakeholders to ensure a seamless spectator and athlete experience.

The role requires 1-3 years in event operations or logistics, a relevant qualification, and strong organizational and communication skills.

• A relevant qualification in Event Management, Hospitality, or a related field is advantageous.
• 1-3 years of experience in event operations, venue management, or logistics support.
• Familiarity with major sporting events or large-scale public gatherings.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in the planning and coordination of all venue operational aspects for assigned sporting events.
• Coordinate with various internal and external stakeholders, including venue staff, suppliers, and security.
• Manage the setup and breakdown of event infrastructure, ensuring adherence to schedules and layouts.
• Oversee the distribution and management of event equipment and supplies.
• Support the implementation of health, safety, and security protocols within the venue.
• Assist in troubleshooting operational issues that may arise before and during events.
• Help manage event documentation, permits, and compliance requirements.
• Conduct site inspections and pre-event checks to identify potential operational challenges.
• Provide on-site support during events, acting as a point of contact for operational queries.
• Contribute to post-event debriefs and reporting to identify areas for improvement.
