Job summary

Sasaki Associates is seeking a Mid-Senior Level Architect for sport-related planning and design to join our Boston, Denver, New York, or Los Angeles offices. The role drives design from concept through delivery, mentors junior staff, and collaborates with cross-disciplinary teams.

You bring 8+ years of experience, a professional architecture degree, licensure, and a passion for sport and wellness markets. Proficiency in Revit, Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suite is preferred.

Qualifications

• Professional degree in Architecture.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in a design firm environment.
• Interest, enthusiasm, and experience in the sport and wellness market.
• Licensure required.
• Proven experience leading design thinking and delivery on projects.
• Deep understanding of detailing, drawing sets, and material systems.
• Experience with sport-related design issues and trends.
• Exceptional communication and team leadership skills.
• Strong client presence and ability to lead conversations around strategy, scope, and design direction.

Responsibilities

• Lead project strategy, planning, and design from concept through delivery.
• Develop space programs and concept development plans through outreach and engagement.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, schedules, budgets, and sub-consultants with minimal oversight.
• Contribute to business development, market and pursuit strategy, and client relationships.
• Mentor team members through hands-on work, coaching, and feedback.
• Collaborate with in-house campus master planners, site designers, architects, interior designers.
• Present and communicate with clarity to clients, stakeholders, and communities.
• Inspire teams through design leadership and commitment to excellence.
