Mount Sinai is seeking a Senior Speech and Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive and dysphagia disorders. You will mentor less experienced Speech Pathologists and contribute to interdisciplinary care.

Responsibilities include conducting evaluations, developing treatment plans, counseling patients and families, and documenting progress while advancing group therapy initiatives and staff education, within a hospital setting.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in speech-language pathology required.
• 3 years of speech-language pathology experience required.
• New York State SLP license required.
• CCC-SLP certification required.

Aufgaben

• Administers speech, language, cognitive assessments to determine impairment.
• Evaluates test results to plan treatment for speech impairment.
• Counsels patients and educates families about communication disorders.
• Provides ongoing counseling to patients, families and caregivers.
• Mentors less experienced Speech Pathology staff.
• Records and maintains reports of treatments and progress.
