Job summary

NYC Health + Hospitals Metropolitan is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to assess, diagnose and treat patients with speech and language disorders in a hospital setting. You will collaborate with physicians, therapists and families to develop personalized treatment plans and monitor progress across diverse patient populations.

Applicants must hold NYS licensure in Speech Pathology and ASHA CCC-SLP, with at least two years of clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Valid New York State license in Speech Pathology.
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
• Two years of full-time paid professional experience in speech pathology.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate speech, language and related disorders and determine etiology and severity.
• Plan and implement treatment programs to restore or improve communication skills.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust therapy goals as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians, educators and families to coordinate care.
• Documentation of evaluations, treatment plans and outcomes for each patient.
