Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Wesley Chapel is seeking a Senior Speech Language Pathologist to lead our speech therapy team and deliver compassionate, evidence-based care. You will guide patients through speech and communication challenges while mentoring colleagues in a collaborative, growth-focused environment.

The role emphasizes direct patient care, in-service education, and supervision of SLT staff and students.

Qualifications

• Current licensure or certification required by state regulations.
• CCC certification from ASHA is required.
• CPR (BLS) certification required or to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Bachelor’s degree in speech therapy or management; Master’s or Doctorate preferred.
• Minimum of two years of speech language pathology experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and build rewarding relationships addressing speech and communication needs.
• Lead and mentor team members; oversee student programs and in-service education.
• Mentor and train new colleagues and other departments as needed.
• Delegate and supervise speech therapy assistants and technicians.
