Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist II to evaluate and develop the therapy plan of care for a broad range of diagnoses and acuities. This role collaborates with an interprofessional care team to deliver patient-centered outcomes and may serve as a preceptor and mentor to staff and students.

The SLP II will provide education to patients and families, participate in quality metrics, and support process improvements while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Texas state licensure with PSV compact acceptable within 90 days.
• ASHA-CCC-SLP certification.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and develop the therapy plan of care for a broad range of diagnoses and acuities.
• Provide education to patients, families, and caregivers and collaborate with the interprofessional team.
• Serve as preceptor/mentor and clinical resource for students and staff; participate in quality metrics.
• Support process improvement initiatives and ensure safety and patient outcomes.
