Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System in Houston seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and rehabilitate patients with communication and swallowing disorders. You will document findings and may assist level II/III clinicians with program development, training students, interns, and staff.

Minimum qualifications include a graduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Texas SLP license, and Basic Life Support.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Speech/Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current license to practice Speech/Language Pathology in Texas.
• ASHA certification preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods.
• Written and spoken communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients with physician referrals.
• Develop and implement speech-language pathology treatment plans.
• Re-assess patient status and adjust goals accordingly.
• Document in medical records and communicate with patients, families, and colleagues.
• May serve as Clinical Instructor for Speech interns.
• Ensure safe, patient-centered care and adherence to Memorial Hermann policies.
