Job summary

Based in Oak Ridge, the role focuses on glovebox systems, furnaces, high vacuum systems, and related machinery. You will create build-to-print design packages, write equipment specifications and datasheets, and perform finite element, structural and heat transfer analyses to ensure safety and performance.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• 10+ years designing custom mechanical equipment.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain government clearance.

Responsibilities

• Create design and procurement documents for specialty and first-of-a-kind equipment.
• Collaborate to develop build-to-print design packages of custom, specialty equipment.
• Develop procurement documents such as equipment specifications, statements of work, and datasheets.
• Perform calculations and analyses for machine design (FEM, structural, seismic, heat transfer, etc).
