Job summary

Kundlas Consulting Group LLC seeks a Special Track Inspector to perform technical inspections of special track work and materials for MTA/NYCT projects. You will verify dimensions, tolerances, and quality per drawings, specifications, and industry standards.

Ideal candidates have five years of related experience, ability to read engineering drawings, and working knowledge of AWS/ASNT inspection techniques. Knowledge of track components and metallurgy is preferred, with reporting responsibilities

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of experience in special track inspections or related areas.
• Reading and understanding engineering drawings and specifications.
• Working knowledge of AWS and ASNT inspection techniques.
• Knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous castings and forgings.

Responsibilities

• Inspect special track work manufactured to Authority drawings and specifications.
• Verify precise dimensions, clearances, and quality requirements.
• Inspect track materials including nuts, bolts, washers, and related components.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection documentation.
• Identify and document nonconforming materials.
• Prepare inspection reports and support material acceptance decisions.
