Job summary

Kundlas Consulting Group LLC in Georgia seeks a Special Track Inspector to perform technical inspections of special track work for public infrastructure projects in Hartwell. You will verify dimensions, review drawings, and ensure compliance with AWS, AREMA, and Authority specifications.

The role requires at least five years of experience in track inspection or quality assurance, familiarity with ferrous and non-ferrous castings, and the ability to document nonconformities and acceptance

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of experience in special track inspections, quality assurance, railroad or transit track inspection and layout systems, or related facilities.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
• Working knowledge of AWS and ASNT inspection techniques.
• Knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous castings and forgings, when applicable.

Responsibilities

• Inspect special track work manufactured to Authority drawings and specifications.
• Verify precise dimensions, clearances, and quality requirements.
• Inspect track materials, including nuts, bolts, washers, steel fastener plates, shims, clips, screw spikes, and related components.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection documentation.
• Identify and document nonconforming materials.
• Prepare inspection reports and support material acceptance decisions.
