Job summary

Kundlas Consulting Group LLC is seeking a Special Track Inspector to perform technical inspections of special track work and related components for MTA/NYCT projects. This role requires experience with railroad and transit track components, dimensional inspections, quality assurance procedures, and applicable industry standards.

Minimum qualifications include five years of experience in special track inspections or related fields; ability to read engineering drawings; knowledge of AWS and ASNT

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of experience in special track inspections or related fields.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
• Working knowledge of AWS and ASNT inspection techniques.
• Knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous castings and forgings, when applicable.

Responsibilities

• Inspect special track work manufactured to Authority drawings and specifications.
• Verify precise dimensions, clearances, and quality requirements.
• Inspect track materials, including nuts, bolts, washers, steel fastener plates, shims, clips, screw spikes, and related components.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection documentation.
• Identify and document nonconforming materials.
• Prepare inspection reports and support material acceptance decisions.
