Job summary

Kundlas Consulting Group LLC is seeking a Senior Special Track Inspector in the United States to perform technical inspections of special track work and related components for transit projects. The role emphasizes accuracy in dimensional inspection, adherence to specifications, and rigorous documentation.

Responsibilities include reviewing drawings, verifying tolerances, and identifying nonconforming materials, with a strong emphasis on quality assurance and compliance for MTA/NYCT-related work.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience in special track inspections, quality assurance, or railroad/transit inspection roles.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of AWS and ASNT inspection techniques.
• Knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous castings and forgings, when applicable.

Responsibilities

• Inspect special track work manufactured to Authority drawings and specifications.
• Verify precise dimensions, clearances, and quality requirements.
• Inspect track materials, including nuts, bolts, washers, steel fastener plates, shims, clips, screw spikes, and related components.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection documentation.
• Identify and document nonconforming materials.
• Prepare inspection reports and support material acceptance decisions.
