Los Angeles Philharmonic Association seeks a Manager, Special Events to drive strategic planning and execution of 80+ donor and engagement events across LA Phil venues, including signature programs and two major fundraising events.

The role requires leading from concept to post-event follow-up, managing budgets, vendors, guest experience, and cross‑department coordination to advance philanthropic priorities and donor relationships.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in special events, fundraising, donor engagement, hospitality, project management, or a related field; nonprofit arts or performing arts experience strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience independently managing complex events from planning through execution and post‑event evaluation.
• Strong budgeting, vendor management, and cross‑functional coordination skills.
• Proven ability to connect event strategy to fundraising goals and donor cultivation.

Aufgaben

• Plan and execute an assigned portfolio of donor, cultivation, stewardship, and engagement events across LA Phil venues and off-site locations.
• Lead planning components of Opening Night at the Hollywood Bowl and the Gala at Walt Disney Concert Hall to support fundraising and revenue goals.
• Develop event plans, timelines, budgets, guest communications, invitations, RSVPs, seating, and on-site production.
• Coordinate with Philanthropy and cross‑functional teams to ensure smooth event execution and donor engagement.
• Manage vendors and partners, overseeing contracts, budgets, timelines, and deliverables.
