Job summary

Visit Hot Springs is seeking an experienced Events Manager to lead the conception, design, and execution of special events at the Hot Springs Convention Center and Bank OZK Arena. You will coordinate with sponsors, vendors, and clients from booking through post-event follow-up, ensuring objectives and timelines are met.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and budget-management skills, with the ability to work flexible hours, travel as needed, and manage multiple events

Qualifications

• Must possess strong leadership, organizational, communication, interpersonal, customer service, public speaking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Previous experience in event planning, event management, hospitality, convention centers, arenas, tourism, destination management, meetings, or a related field.
• Experience in preparing and reviewing media kits, promotional materials, proposals, presentations, or similar materials.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
• Must be able to work with diverse teams and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Conception, planning, coordination, management, and execution of special events promoted by Visit Hot Springs.
• Coordinate meetings with event partners, sponsors, vendors, and community organizations.
• Direct vendors and other partners before and during events.
• Serve as primary event contact for groups, meetings, conferences, and other activities at the facilities.
• Create event timelines, floor plans, budgets, and planning documents; monitor deadlines and deliverables.
• Assist with bids, budgets, and financial reporting as assigned.
• Develop and maintain detailed event files and correspondence.
