Job summary

U.S. Bank in Minneapolis is seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager to lead underwriting for distressed commercial credit relationships. You will partner with Relationship Managers, Credit Officers, Legal, and Loan Operations to develop strategies that maximize recovery and minimize losses.

As a senior PM, you will oversee a team of PMs, manage staffing and performance, and contribute to risk management. The role requires a Bachelor's or advanced degree and typically more than 12 years of

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or advanced degree, or equivalent work experience.
Typically more than 12 years of applicable experience.
Experience in commercial banking, loan workouts, or special assets activities.
Advanced understanding of commercial credit structures, loan documentation, collateral, and assignment processes.
Strong leadership and management skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Underwrite distressed commercial credit relationships and prepare reports.
Partner with Relationship Managers, Credit Officers, Legal, Loan Operations, and senior leadership to develop recovery strategies.
Lead a team of PMs, including staffing, performance management, and training.
Support risk management, workout, and loss mitigation objectives.
