Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Senior Portfolio Manager to lead underwriting for distressed commercial credit relationships and drive risk management strategies. You will collaborate with Relationship Managers, Credit Officers, Legal, and Operations to maximize recovery and minimize losses.

The role requires strong leadership, advanced knowledge of credit structures, and excellent communication skills. It also involves staffing and guiding a team of PMs while ensuring adherence to risk controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree or equivalent work experience.
• Typically more than 12 years of applicable experience.
• Experience in commercial banking, loan workouts, or special assets activities.
• Strong leadership and management skills; excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite distressed commercial credit relationships and prepare reports.
• Partner with Relationship Managers, Credit Officers, Legal, and Loan Operations.
• Lead and train PM team, staffing and performance guidance.
