Community Financial System, Inc. is seeking a Senior Credit Asset Manager to oversee a portfolio of large, distressed credits and guide workouts to maximize recoveries. The role requires deep knowledge of credit analysis, bankruptcy processes, and strong negotiation skills.

The position emphasizes compliance with banking regulations, collaboration with attorneys, appraisers, and senior management, and ongoing reporting on portfolio status and collateral values.

Qualifications

• Proven negotiation and influential interpersonal skills are essential.
• Good written and oral communication abilities.
• Ability to develop and/or complete effective and accurate financial models.
• Strong background in credit analysis.
• Knowledge of bankruptcy codes, foreclosure, and other liquidation litigation are also needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a portfolio of credits to maximize recoveries and minimize losses.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure expeditious treatment of foreclosures, litigation, and liquidation proceedings.
• Maintain compliance with policies and regulations for the assigned portfolio.
• Provide monthly updates on collateral values, action plans, and portfolio status.
• Guide other lenders and interface across Bank units to manage stressed portfolios.
