Job summary

NBH Bank in Dallas, TX seeks a Senior Special Assets Officer to develop and implement workout plans for loan clients, resolving problems with minimal credit loss and handling bank-owned real estate. You will coordinate with borrowers, legal counsel, and SAG Director, and work with outside counsel on defaults, litigation, foreclosure, and bankruptcy.

Strong communication and analytical skills are essential. You will also manage complex portfolio issues, build rapport with clients and associates,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
• 10+ years related experience and/or training.
• Commercial and/or Real Estate lending background or applicable workout experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement workout plans with loan clients to resolve problem loans with minimal or no credit loss.
• Dispose of collateral and bank-owned real estate as needed.
• Discuss workout plans with borrowers, legal counsel, and SAG Director.
• Work with outside counsel during default, litigation, foreclosure, bankruptcy, and guarantor pursuit.
• Prepare written reports regarding disposition plans for problem loans and bank-owned real estate.
• Schedule site visits to inspect loan collateral and bank-owned real estate.
• Retain and address difficult portfolio issues, including legal, accounting and asset complexity.
• Build rapport with clients and fellow associates, maintaining respect and professionalism.
