Job summary

Third Coast Bank is seeking a Special Assets Officer in Texas to lead the management, restructuring, and resolution of criticized, classified, and nonperforming commercial loans, with emphasis on SBA-guaranteed loans and small-business credits.

This hands-on role requires extensive experience evaluating troubled borrowers, developing workout strategies, protecting collateral, and maximizing recoveries while minimizing losses.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of commercial banking or credit experience managing troubled loans.
• Experience with SBA 7(a) loan servicing and workout procedures.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration; equivalent experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage a portfolio of criticized, classified, and nonperforming loans.
• Develop and execute workout strategies, including restructurings and forbearance.
• Coordinate SBA guaranty processes and recovery efforts.
• Negotiate with borrowers, guarantors, and attorneys to resolve credits.
• Coordinate legal proceedings and monitor recovery costs.
• Prepare workout plans, memoranda, and management reporting.
