Job summary

NBH Bank is seeking a Senior Special Assets Officer to develop and implement workout plans with loan clients, aiming to minimize credit loss and manage bank-owned real estate. You’ll coordinate with legal counsel and outside advisers, prepare disposition reports, and visit sites to assess collateral and market conditions.

The role emphasizes client rapport, accountability, and working through complex portfolio issues with senior leadership and internal partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
• 10+ years related experience and/or training.
• Commercial and/or Real Estate lending background or applicable workout experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement workout plans with loan clients to resolve problem loans with minimal or no credit loss.
• Coordinate with legal counsel and SAG Director; assist outside counsel during default, litigation, foreclosure, or bankruptcy.
• Prepare reports on disposition plans for problem loans and bank-owned real estate.
• Inspect loan collateral via site visits to understand asset and market conditions.
• Maintain rapport with clients and associates and uphold professional standards.
