Advocate Health's Wake Market locations seek a strategic Sterile Processing leader to drive operational performance, quality, and staff development. This role oversees all SPD activities from collection to inventory, shaping policies and leading a culture of excellence.

Collaborate with surgeons and clinical staff to optimize OR SPD and Central Services workflows, participate in major projects, and mentor SPD staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
• Sterile Processing Certification required within one year of hire.
• Minimum of three years' experience in a hospital or equivalent patient care setting.
• Demonstrates excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead teams.

Responsabilités

• Oversees SPD leadership across Wake Market locations to meet performance and quality goals.
• Manages all SPD activities: collection, decontamination, assembly, sterilization, distribution, and inventory.
• Leads recruitment, hiring, and development of SPD Managers and site leaders.
• Presents sterile processing data to senior leadership, physicians, and staff timely.
• Works with surgeons and staff to improve OR SPD and Central Services workflows.
• Participates in major project initiatives and facility/capital equipment planning.
• Recommends policy and procedure modifications meeting regulatory standards.
• Directs SPD Academy and education programs to ensure staffing.
• Oversees scheduling, budgeting, and department performance reporting.
• Provides communication with physicians, hospital/clinic management, staff and vendor reps; attends department meetings.
