Job summary

Axiom Space is seeking a bold Senior Project Manager to lead agile hardware and software development programs in the spaceflight domain. This onsite role at our Space Station Development Facility focuses on delivering complex, multi‑workstream projects on schedule and within budget.

You will partner with cross‑functional teams, drive program plans, establish baselines, mitigate risks, and report progress to leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, systems engineering, business, or related field.
7+ years in program agility or project management.
Experience managing very large, complex programs with multiple workstreams.
Proficient in scheduling with MS Project/Primavera P6; strong reporting (Power BI).

Responsibilities

Develop program plans and planning products tying PBS, OBS, WBS, Risk Register, etc.
Establish schedule, cost, resource, and scope baselines.
Ensure financial planning, forecasting, and budget tracking.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
Ensuring integrated schedule creation and fidelity at the product, system and module level.
Leading efficient and effective planning sessions, focused on value outcomes.
Communicating project progress, status, and potential issues to stakeholders and leadership.
Understands the engineering development lifecycle and works with engineers to navigate the how from concept to delivery.
Proactively identify and mitigate risks to program timelines.
Define program and project metrics that align with business goals and objectives.
