Job summary

Redwire Space in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to provide DFM feedback to design engineering, align site capacity, and implement new manufacturing processes. You will develop ground support equipment (GSE) and drive key process development to ensure on-time delivery of space flight hardware.

Ideal candidates have a BS in engineering, 5+ years in aerospace manufacturing, AS9100 experience, and US citizenship with the ability to obtain DoD clearance.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering or related field with 5+ years in aerospace/manufacturing.
• Experience in space-flight hardware manufacturing and AS9100 quality systems.
• Ability to obtain US government DoD security clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, maintain, and improve manufacturing processes for space flight hardware.
• Complete readiness assessments and launch new products into production.
• Develop and maintain production documentation (work instructions, test procedures, etc.).
• Support quality and continuous improvement through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Apply lean manufacturing principles to improve quality and schedule.
• Identify risks to production and implement mitigation plans.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure high-quality custom manufactured products.
• Participate in daily stand-up meetings to align on goals.
