Job summary

Redwire’s Goleta, CA facility is seeking an Associate Manufacturing Engineer to help set up and optimize manufacturing lines, develop work instructions, and support GSE design while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Ideal for early-career engineers with 0–2 years in manufacturing/engineering. You will contribute to RCCA, lean improvements, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance in aerospace production.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• 0–2 years in manufacturing/engineering environment.
• Familiarity with RCCA methodology.
• Foundational understanding or interest in GSE design.
• Ability to document process steps and workflows.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.
• Problem-solving mindset with ability to contribute to solutions.
• Basic proficiency with SolidWorks.
• Ability to manage multiple projects within schedule/budget constraints.
• Willingness to travel 10–15% (local, overnight trips).
• US Citizenship or Green Card holder (visa sponsorship not available).

Responsibilities

• Set up and optimize product lines including layout and equipment.
• Support daily production planning and troubleshooting.
• Create clear manufacturing docs (work instructions, SOPs, test procedures).
• Contribute to new manufacturing processes and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with QA to investigate non-conformances.
• Support RCCA and corrective actions.
• Assist in GSE design feedback.
• Train technicians on new procedures.
• Ensure processes meet safety and environmental regs.
• Collaborate across design, production and quality teams.
