Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Sr Manufacturing Engineer for the New Glenn program on C Shift in the Space Coast, FL. You will provide manufacturing direction for integration of components, improve manufacturability, and develop tooling.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and cross-team collaboration to enable cost-effective spaceflight. Requirements include a BS inMechanical/Manufacturing/Aerospace, 8+ years of manufacturing experience, GD&T, and proficiency in Creo Pro/E/CATIA with MBOM

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science or equivalent in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering

Responsibilities

Develop manufacturing work instructions for composites fabrication, inspection, trimming, and assembly.
Closely manage quality, build sequence, and schedule of hardware throughout manufacturing.
Review engineering drawings and provide final approval for manufacturing.
Design and model simple tooling (e.g., drill jigs) and create statements of work for complex tooling.
Define and support repair and rework activities.
Perform root cause analyses when non-conformances occur and deploy corrective actions.
Craft material handling and packaging to protect hardware.
Manage hardware configuration and pedigree; prioritize procurement and fabrication.
Collaborate across teams over large geographic distances; communicate clearly.
